Whipping up dinner when it’s just me and the little sous chefs – who are wicked picky – is kind of a pain. I love cooking, but cooking for little ones who think Velveeta is a magical sauce is not as much fun. No offense to Velveeta. Enter in leftovers, naan bread and cheese. AKA – Chicken Tikka Masala pizzas. I saw a jar of the Tikka Masala sauce at the store, and it was perfect for the chicken legs I knew the kiddos would eat. After cooking the chicken, I drained the sauce and juices into a pan where I simmered them down until they were the consistency of pizza sauce.
Using some frozen Naan bread I spread the sauce, added some shredded chicken and cheese and voila! Chicken Tikka Masala pizza. The sauce was a little spicy for my youngest so I gave her some greek yogurt to dip it in. She gobbled up like she hadn’t eaten in a week. Score 1 for Mama.
Recipe
- 1 jar or 2 cups Tikka Masala Sauce
- 2 c shredded chicken
- 6 Naan breads
- 2 c shredded cheese (cheddar, parmesan, mozzerella, etc.)
- Greek yogurt (for dipping)
Preheat oven to 350.
Spread sauce across the naan breads, top with shredded chicken and cheese.

Bake for 8-12 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
Bon Appetit!
