Dill Tuna Salad Sliders

Its a rainy icky day here in DC, and while I was hungry, I wasn’t starving. Enter these super simple, ready in under 5 minute sliders. Perfect when you need to eat, but don’t need a 3 course meal. They require only a few ingredients that most people stock in their cabinets! Easy, quick and delicious? Score.

Recipe

  • 1 pack or can of Tuna
  • 1/2 stalk of celery or carrot
  • 1/4 cup of mayo
  • 1/4 tsp of dill
  • pinch of oregano

Drain your tuna (if using a can) and add to a bowl. Mix all ingredients together until nicely combined. I usually use celery, but didn’t have any so subbed in some carrots to get that nice crunch. Adjust your spices to taste and grab your slider rolls. I used dinner rolls from Wegman’s, but you can use Hawaiian rolls, bread or even wraps. Whatever floats your boat or you have in the pantry. You can also augment a salad with this or just eat it out of the bowl!

I love to serve this with a side of tomatoes and some white cheddar popcorn. Takes me back to my college days when I would grab a tuna sandwich, popcorn and Pepsi from the school cafe. Though these days my popcorn is Smartfood, and my Pepsi has become a Spindrift. Ahh the memories!

Bon Appetit!
