Restaurant Style Burgers

These burgers are SO good and SO easy to make. The secret to a thick, tender, almost fluffy burger? Don’t over work the meat. Mix together the ingredients then loosely pack them, and sear them on a cast iron skillet. They come together in minutes and taste SOOOO good. It’s the perfect weeknight meal when you want something hearty but don’t have a ton of time. We served these with sweet potato fries and a small salad, but feel free to add whatever sides your hearts desire! Potato salad, pasta salad, cucumbers, tomatoes, chips, Doritos, you name it! Yum.

Recipe

  • 1.5 lbs of ground beef
  • 3 TBS steak seasoning
  • 2 TBS fish sauce

Yes that’s really the only ingredients; unless you want cheese or toppings. Then go for it!

Mix meat and seasonings together in a bowl until combined, but don’t over do it. Divide mixture into 4 sections and form patties by creating a circle without squeezing too hard. Set aside for 10 minutes.

Take a tablespoon of butter and melt it over medium heat on the skillet. Toast your buns, then place on a rack to cool.

Turn the heat to high, and drop each patty onto the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes (it should get a nice crusty sear on it) then flip and cook another 3-4 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160.

Serve with your choice of cheese and toppings. Plate up and dig in!

Bon Appetit!

Tip – this will create some smoke, so make sure your fan is on high and a window is open!
